Isn’t it worrying to hear that a serving Metropolitan police officer kidnapped a woman who was out walking?

On the 3rd of March 2021, this year, 33-year-old Sarah Everard disappeared while walking from her friend’s house in Clapham, South London. She was returning to her house in Brixton.

Sadly, after the police and members of communities searched for her, her remains were discovered in Woodland, Kent.

It was later revealed that 48-year-old Metropolitan Police officer Wayne Couzens, confessed to kidnapping and raping Sarah.

The serving firearms police officer is in court today, 9th July accused of murder and kidnap of Sarah. He remains in custody till 29th September when he will be sentenced.

The metropolitan commissioner, Dame Cressida Dick said she felt angry, devastated and sick. Additionally, she mentioned how they all felt betrayed by Wayne’s action.

Wayne claimed he was in a deep financial problem that led him to get entangled with dangerous Eastern Europeans who asked for another prostitute which led him to kidnap Sarah.

This is very sad.

May her soul rest in peace.
