President Joseph Robinette Biden has now taken over Donald Trump’s position. It is vividly clear that Trump was grumpy and antipathetic to leave the white house.

The inauguration took place at the Washington capitol on January 20th, 2021, attended by dignitaries, past presidents,  including past president Joe Biden’s former boss, Barack Obama.

It wasn’t surprising that former president Donald Trump was missing at the ceremony.

He and his family are now in Florida. He is the first president in a century to skip his successor’s inauguration.

President Joe Biden, calls for unity. In his speech, he said “this is democracy’s day and the US has much to do in this winter of peril, much to repair”

Joe Biden signed in 15 executive orders, the first is to boost federal response to the coronavirus crisis.

Kamala Harris took her oath

Vice president Kamala Harris took her oath yesterday as the first female to hold the position of vice president of the US. Her husband Douglas Craig Emholf, a lawyer was with her proudly.

She is an American politician and attorney serving as the 49th vice president of the united states of America. Born on 20th October 1964.

She has made the mark of the first woman, the first black Asian to hold the post.

Performances that glazed the event

There were performances from Laday Gaga, Garth Brooks and Jenifer Lopez.

We cannot forget to mention Amanda Gorman, 22, the poet who became the first youngest to perform at the inauguration.

She called for unity and togetherness in her self-penned poem. A very educative and inspiring poem.

Congratulations to president Joe Biden and vice president Kamala Harris.
