Dr Olumide Okunuga, a Nigerian pathologist has died of coronavirus in Italy

Coronavirus is a pandemic that is claiming the lives of many people worldwide.

It has affected almost 24.000 people in Italy and killed almost 400 in one day including a pathologist DR Olumide Okunuga, who was the president of Egbe Omo Yoruba, Emila Romagna and vice-president of Yoruba national community Italy.

A well respected Nigerian doctor died of coronavirus in Italy

Dr  Olumide Okunuga was based in Italy for thirty-five years (35) and was well respected by friends, families, and members of communities. He was diagnosed with coronavirus that left him with high fever, though he was supposed to be quarantined, sadly he died before then. Bear in mind that he had a pre-existing health issue. His family in Italy are quarantined and still undergoing more tests.

His body has been cremated according to close family members and friends.

 

The doctor was from Ogun state Remo and died last week Tuesday in Italy after contracting the deadly pandemic, Covid-19. 

He was in Italy for 35 years and the members of Yoruba community in Italy are devastated. 

May his soul rest in peace.
