Coronavirus is now a pandemic that is proliferating among people and the world leaders, including the junior health minister, Nardine Dorries in the UK and now Mikel Arteta, Arsenal manager. 

It has been reported that Mikel Arteta has now been diagnosed with Covid-19. As a result of this, the match against Brighton on Saturday had been postponed. The gunners have closed their training ground to prevent any spread.

All those who have come in contact with Arteta will now self-isolate.

The managing director Vinai Venkatesham stated that the health of people and the wider public remains the priority and focus. 

Before postponing the match with Brighton, Arsenal’s premier league match with Manchester City on Wednesday was also postponed due to precautionary measures after Olympiakos owner, Evangelos Marinakis was diagnosed with coronavirus.
